The Bayou Playhouse presents “Goin’ to Jackson,” written and performed by Jamie Wax, through Sunday at the playhouse, 101 Main St., Lockport. This one-man comedy with music, starring the nationally-acclaimed Wax, features five characters, four of them competing for the title of “Louisiana Mental Health Poster Person and Spokes Model.” Shows run at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights and at 2:30 p.m. Sundays. The 10th Annual Terrebonne Sportsman’s League Youth Fishing Rodeo is set for Saturday at the Pointe-aux-Chenes Marina. Registration runs from daybreak to 2 p.m. Young fishermen must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 12 and under must wear approved flotation devices. These will be provided if necessary. The rodeo is free for ages 4 to 15. Trophies will be awarded to the first three places in each category. All fish must be of legal size. Youth may fish from the bank or from a boat. If fishing from a boat, they must be back before 1 p.m. to register before weighing fish. Scales run from daybreak to 2 p.m. All participants receive a cap and T-shirt.
